Selim Baklacı Fashion Designer

Having completed his BA in Textile Program at Mimar Sinan University Fine Arts Faculty in 2008, Selim Baklacı made his debut by winning Project Runway Trueky. In 2007 he performed the finale at Istanbul Fashion Fair with his first collection “kibir”  (Arrogance), and the following year he exhibited his Fall-Winter 2009 collection for 6 months at Rotterdam Historic Museum, as part of  the fashion event, “Bridges to Fashion”. His “Fast Couture” collection was presented at a mixed fashion show at “Berlinische Gallery” in 2011. Selim Baklacı, who showed his Spring-Summer 2013 and Fall-Winter 2014 collections during Istanbul Fashion Week, held a personel exhibition at The Catherine Palace for the St. Petersburg Musical Olympus Foundation, displaying his Spring-Summer 2013 collection.

Defining his designs as stylish, effortless and global, Selim Baklacı has a style which makes different styles of clothes look sporty, with a light and sophisticated touch. The brand’s greatest passions is to improve its sport-couture impact by applying various formulas with color, pattern and fabric options.
